Booked a BVI Sail trip the end of April 2026. Plan to return via ferry to St Thomas May 1 and fly home to the U.S. May 2 or 3rd. It appears Sat May 2nd is the grand finale for Carnival on St Thomas. Question, will Carnival create travel issues for the ferry and on St Thomas including the airport? Anyone have experience with this your input is appreciated!
We were staying near the parade route last year, and we experienced a little bit of a travel issue. Our taxi cab driver recommended leaving early to the airport. We had to go a different road (or two) to avoid the parade. I wasn't a big deal for us, but something to keep in mind. The last 24 hours of Carnival can be quite loud. The drum beating and music goes on most of the night.
What are the dates for Carnival? We will be sailing April 14-29 returning to St. Thomas on the 29th. 3 of the couples with us will be flying out on the 29th. My wife and I will be staying on St. Thomas until the 6th of May. Any suggestions on where to stay to avoid some of the all night party?
