Vesna Taverna or Barnacles?
Have you tried Byblos? <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> Simpson Bay Marina, across from Zee Best.

A good Indian restaurant is Lal's beside Le Grand Marche Gourmet in Simpson Bay. Excellent food and very reasonably priced.

http://byblossxm.com/Lebanese cuisine with some Turkish/Greek influences. Full bar. Tapas and plates. Simpson Bay behind Scotia Bank next to Jimbo's. I believe they are closed on Monday's. Jeannie of Shop-N-Drop has held wine tastings there, though with this being high season for her, I don't see any scheduled. She may be too slammed.

Vesna's Taverna has very good food. I've had their Greek salad and some other dishes and it's quite good. My husband is Greek and we eat quite a bit of Greek food, so I would say their Greek food is good and authentic. They actually have a Greek night - on Saturday when a lot of the typical Greek foods are available. The owner (chef) is French and his wife (Vesna) is Greek and Macedonian. I have not been to Barnacles but their regular menu appears to be a bit more authentic Greek than Vesna's.

The Greek place near Lal's (Indian and fantastic) is Barnacles, I think they are on their last year, not sure how long they are staying on island.
If looking for something like Gyro, go see Marty at Marty's next to Toppers.
I would also add if going to Byblos, don't forget to have some Baklava! Good place with good people. T
I prefer the Isle seat

By far, the best Greek restaurant is Barnacles, behind the Gourmet Marche. Haven't heard anything about their leaving the island.

we walked out of Barnacles on Monday. Worst service I have ever experienced on this island...will NEVER go back (and I went on your recommendation and never even got my salad)

yes indeed at the moment I am just too busy with high season when things slow down I will organize a couple but i like to try out different places all the time so perhaps the next one will be on the French side water front.
Thanks Jeannie

Another vote for Vesna Taverna
We had "Greek Night" dinner on our last trip in May 2014 and the food was great. I believe that their Greek night is on Saturdays.

Vesna's is sort of across the stress from the Travel Lodge with white plantation shutters

Although we haven't been there in a couple of years, Crave was very good when we went.

Did they still have the singer on the patio? He's the reason we didn't go back....

Crave is excellent. Had a wonderful dinner there last week. It's not Greek, but Mediterranean with a Persian influence.
