12 day Trip report Oct. 22 to Nov 2 the weather was the best 87-89 daily with a light breeze and no rain, other then in the early morning hours
Sat 10-22
Arrived late went to our favorite restaurant Laguna. Franco and Giovanni are always there and are great to us. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/chef.gif" alt="" />

Tried a new place, “Breezein”, Formally LaParioqutte, across from the airport, just before Laguna. Very good cocktail hour 5-6 with $2.00 Drinks <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drinking.gif" alt="" />
Mon 10-24
Went to La Plate La Main, in the marina, Martine greeted us. There fish soup is always great. Tried the salmon and beef carpachio, very good

Went to Temptation this is always a must whether we come for 2 days or 2 months! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />

Re visited Mario’s Bistro. Have not been in 10 years because of rude owner she made us feel like she did not need our business, reserved a table for 8 never new we had to call to too confirm, so when we got there Martine the owner had told us she had given our tables away. This time it was very nice and food was very good. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/impatient.gif" alt="" />

Went back to Laguna. Nadine had there rack of lamb chops, one of the very best she had, I had my favorite, shrimp fra di ablo, always good. We were going to try a new restaurant but traffic was so bad we turned around at oyster pond after 2 hours driving, and stop at Laguna

Made it to Tabba Kaady this was where we were trying to go Thursday. Pool in middle of deck. Met Phillip and William, very nice restaurant. Indonesian food a bit spicy, curry, ginger but good, too far for us being in coupacoy, but for ones who stay at orient, would be nice stop

Stayed in. Had dinner with our neighbors, Suzie and Alex. In Arbors Estates were we own our 2 bedroom villa, this is our piece of paradise.

Another revisit after 25 years. Fish Pot in Grande case, Nadine had the fish pot was very filling and very good. I had scallops over angel hair pasta, was excellent

Happy Halloween. We went trick or treating 
Went to Cheri’s for a cocktail to see Cordell then went to Terra for dinner. Across from Cheri’s one of our favorites. They have this flat bread served with olive oil for dipping. So good that you don’t even what dinner. We saved our selves all week from beef so that we would be blown away at DARE TO BE RARE!!!!  We were very very disappointed, and surprised since the owner and the chef were Temptations owners. The stake I had was $38.00 and Tomato and mozzarella salad was $13.00 This stake house is very much like “Ruth Chris” you order your meat and all sides are additional. This was the worst stake I have ever eaten; it was so gritty and had so much fat that I could not eat it. Nadine had an 8oz Filet for $34.00 good, but not great have had better on the island for less. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/Sick.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif" alt="" />
In all it was another great trip, the island is lush and green. It was busy for being October. The restaurant Hot Tomatoes closed and it looked permanent. The former Indiana’s is now Picante. Next to Lee’s a new restaurant opened called Skip Jacks., Les Gaucho steak house in Simpson bay also looks closed.
Went to Spinnakers 3 times for breakfast always good.
Went to Lee’s for lunch a few times
In town we always like to have lunch in Old Street, at Le Petite Cafe
Coupacoy seawall started, as of Monday they were laying the stakes out.
John and Danny were very thankful of what TTOL has done with the seawall, they move it back 4 meters, (12 feet) but I feel wasn’t enough.
This was a short trip only 12 days. We will be back in December for 7 ˝ weeks, already looking forward to it.
