Just returned from our 21st festival and it was super once again. The weather was cooler and wetter but the party continued. Started with the “jump-up” at 6AM. The parade was late and long which meant we had a lot more rum on Festival Monday.
Here is a quick report on some of our favorite meals (this is important-right?)
The Dove—Paloma and Scott once again out-did themselves. Our best meal! La Cabanon- English Chef George put out a super foie gras and the sole was to die for. Spaghetti Junction- April and John can’t be beat if you are into Oso Buco- yum-yum Nicole’s (Brewers Bay) Best cheeseburgers in the Islands Abe’s- this is a lobster feast not to be believed Da Loose Mongoose – fish and chips please Trellis Bay Cyber Café- Lets party at the FULL MOON. Jeremy lit "his balls" again. Roti Palace-need I say more? C&F and Fat Hog Bob’s for ribs. Coco Plums- for native food- Chef Mitch and Server Dawn made it the best. Palm’s Delight-always a treat Brandywine-Davide closed before my arrival-see you in February Finish Line- Italian supreme- Thanks Rita (Sea Cow’s Bay) Myett’s-Black Fin Tuna seared over a match-as good as it gets
Non food related:
Patouche- Can’t say enough- Chartered their 48’ cat—CJ2- for a week. Skipper Jason was a treat once again and Julie and Joe put together a great charter. They also provide perfect day-sails.
Missed Malcolm Played with Landcrab but he didn’t defend in the Carrot Bay donkey races Fort Recovery was a delight once again- Thanks Anita, Sonny, and Pamelah
I know I missed a bunch.
