Dunno. What I know is taking Cialis + Rogaine made my hair look like Don King's so I stopped. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

Come on guys, I don't know the answer to the question either, but it's a legitimate question. If someone knows the answer and doesn't want to post it publicly, please send them a PM. Thanks.

Retin A is cheaper on the Dutch side. Was about $25. a tube a few years ago. Might be more now, but still cheaper than US.

The question was, what is the price? They are checking to see if it's cheaper in SXM..

No idea about Cialis, but Retin A is definitely much cheaper in SXM than the US. I have purchased it at Maho Pharmacy for around $24, so it sounds as though the other OP's pharmacy on the French side is cheaper.

Does that require a prescription, or is it easily available?

That pricing is definitely cheaper than the US.

Referring to the Retin A. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

Wendy, did you buy it off the shelf?

There may be many products readily available, that in the US they charge crazy $$ for, and require a rx.

I've gotten Biafine there, and never thought to look for the Retin A or even ReFissa. I shall definitely be checking in less than 8 weeks, as I put it on my SXM list!

A valid Rx was required for my wife's purchase of retin-A at the Orleans pharmacy. Our quote of $17/tube was based solely on her (possibly faulty?) recollection of last Nov. --sxmdoc

Is there a resource that I can use to determine what is available without bringing a prescription?

As is ours, but as nearly everything is on a 90 day supply and 4 refills (annual supply) we don't have a script we can bring. How do people get around this?

It doesn't here even at a different branch of the same pharmacy! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />

That is exactly what we did in 2014 at the Maho Pharmacy. We are from Canada, brought our packages with the prescription info and refills and had no issues with refills. As an aside we travel with some prescriptions just in case of trouble vs buying some drugs we may not need. When we checked at the Maho pharmacy they said they would have filled those had we asked.

wow...rough.

All of our pharmacies around here are fighting to have people transfer their rx's....and honor a refill if you bring it in.

In SXM 100 mg tablet $15.00.
I have gotten tablets with and without a script.

you can call Maho, and ask them what you'd need scripts for. I personally have never needed any scripts for any of my meds. but none of them are a controlled substance. I think you should be ok with just the name of the med. if its not controlled.

I bought Retin A last summer at the Phillipsburg Pharmacy and the Cole Bay Pharmacy and it was 21.00 for the large tubes. I bought the strongest they had which is the .1%. I didn't need a prescription for it. You can buy as many as you want. I needed a Z-Pack for a sinus infection, but I didn't have a prescription . Not a problem the pharmacist said. She called the Dr.,and I paid her 25.00 for the Dr,'s call + the cost of the z pack. They were very helpful with all our needs.

Retin-A $25/tube for 1% at the pharmacy in Phillipsburg. Just ask the pharmacist and they will get for you and ring you up. Good to know that it is slightly less expensive on the French side.

Just wondering, has anyone run into trouble with USCustoms for bringing Rx drugs obtained abroad back with them, and not in a US prescription bottle? I would think one or two bottles would be fine but could envision an issue if transporting a larger volume.

Sent them a PM with private email address for owners of a pharmacy. They can get most anything and am happy to please. Hopefully they are taken care of.
