Hi all, just got home from St. John, it was AMAZING!! We went on a low budjet, and we did quite well and did everything we wanted to do. We stayed at Samual Cottages, it was about 100.00 a night and it's a 3 minute walk to downtown, it's not a palace but it has a wonderful view and it's clean, plus for 100.00 a night you can afford to do alot more on a budget. As far as the food goes, MISS LUCY'S all the way hands down, the conch fritters and the callaloo soup was to die for you MUST MUST MUST go there!! The beaches were wonderful, there were so many, we tried to visit them all, our favorite was Hawksnest, it's quiet, beautiful scenery, lovely beach, and bathrooms, there were some others that were nice, but they were too crowded. On Saturdays when they have their local market in the park you have to buy some jewelry from an Awesome guy named Alton, he makes his own jewelry and they are AWESOME! I bought several pieces and they are one of a kind. The hiking trails are alot of fun, i'm really not a hiking kinda gal, but it was worth seeing the nature trails. Annanburg Sugar plantation was amazing, it was really historic and worth checking out, it takes like 30 minutes to look at it all. Well cannot wait to come back next year.
