We received an email from Sugar Mill hotel saying its been sold. The owner said they will continue to live on the island. We stayed there a few nights some years ago when they had a good special that included some meals and a Jeep. We really enjoyed it. The restaurant had great food at that time. I hope the reason they sold is because they are going off to do something different, or retiring rather than illness or such. Does anyone know their story?

Its been for sale for years..Jeff and Jinx Morgan, the owners, have been hands off for quite a while and to , some of us, that has had an impact on the restaurants particularly. They are both ready to retire to their home in Brewers' Bay. Some of the staff will be staying on including the amazing Sharon. I believe Patrick, the manager is trying a new venture or two..good luck to him.Expect changes..like the beach front restaurant staying open into the evening ( never understood them closing and making guest tramp across the street from the beach to get a cold one). For those of us who live in the area we see the sale as a positive, feeling that things had become a little stale there..When we first came down the "Islands" restaurant was open every evening for casual dining with Jeff playing guitar..good times.
