I have never seen sand described a "buttery" before. I wonder what that means, "slippery" or perhaps, "squishy"?

People who like to write fancy descriptions generally use all kinds of adjectives to describe things. Most are nothing but flowery prose. Perhaps buttery referred to the color of the sand, lol.

I thought the writer meant the color of sand when he wrote "buttery." Even with poetic license he made a reader feel SXM was magical. That was good.
But as to blond(e) caucasians, the only\ly time I could have said that was on a trip to Saba.
