Hello to all.
Well,,just back last night from our "first ever" cruise. You were all right,,,,,it was not long enough. I had no idea of whether we would like it or not,,,,but it was one of the best experiences of my life. We LOVED the Century. It is one beautiful ship,,,just the right size for us. I was so impressed at how clean and shiny everything was.
My favourite spot was the Martini Bar. I had never had a martini until then and they are marvelous!!! The service was excellent. The food was excellent! Never had a bad meal. If I could complain about anything at all,,,it would be the coffee. They really have to get a Tim Hortons on board (Canadians would love this!!).
We stayed on the 12 Deck, called the Sports Deck,,,in a Sky Suite which was more than I had expected. Very spacious,,,lovely balcony with lounge chairs, table and chairs. The bathroom had lovely marble floor,,,with jacuzzi tub and shower. Our butler Alwi was awesome. The entire experience was something I will never forget. To think that I was so worried.
The weather could have been much better. When we were driving to the airport in T.O. it was -31C. When we got on the plane, the pilot told us it was 4C in Miami!!! We could not believe it was that cold down there. It had warmed a bit when we arrived but not enough. Then on the ship we went and took off for Key West. Even in Key West it was sunny but cool,,,I don't even think it made 70F. Then at Cozumel it was overcast sometimes, and again not as warm as you would think. When we left Cozumel,,,the winds picked up and the ship was rocking (I thought this is where things might turn for us because of DH and motion sickness). It did not bother me at all,,and he just laid down in the suite and watched TV and all was good. It was extremely windy even the next day at sea,,,but the next day was better.

Would I cruise again-YES,,,,When -SOON....I cannot compare Celebrity to other cruise lines,,,as I have never cruised,,,but the Century was absolutely awesome,,if it gets better than this,,,,,I am in!!!

Thanks for the help some of you gave me when I was gathering info regarding cruising.
