Last night we went to Big Fish and was pleasantly surprised by the greeting we received from Teresa and Mike the Managers formerly managers from Bajatsu in Maho.
I ordered a Makers Mark Manhattan from Mike the bartender(extremely warm and friendly man) and my wife order a chardonnay which Mike recommended. Both were great choices and made perfectly.
Our friends showed up and we ate in the Dining room. The dining area was beautiful and the waitress was very pleasant. Our meals were delicious and the prices were moderate.
We all had a great time and would return again even though we live on Beacon Hill which is a 40 minute ride to the restaurant. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />[color:"green"][color:"green"][color:"black"] <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Banana.gif" alt="" />

I should have taken pictures of the food as it was delicious.

Couldn't agree more. Huge improvement at Big Fish since Mike and his wife Teresa took over management. Great atmosphere, great service, good menu variety and very fair prices. We own at OBBR so had a chance to enjoy it several times in Nov/Dec.. looking forward to returning in 7 weeks!

So excited to read that Big Fish has improved under new management. We are looking forward to giving it another try. It used to be our favorite dining place on the island but after a few bad experiences we have not been there in a couple of years. We stay at Oyster Bay Beach Resort and will be there on Feb 12th - will certainly go to Big Fish this trip.

We were there last year and not impressed so maybe will give it another try since we are right next door at OBBR. The past two visits in previous years they had no dessert menu to offer. I thought that was very strange. It's a beautiful restaurant so I'm glad the new management is getting good reviews.

The down-side is that the Bajatsu is not as good as before !

The four of us ate there in late October when the new owners had recently taken over. The food was very good and the hostess/owner was friendly. They were offering a prix fixe menu which was reasonable otherwise I thought the prices for most dishes were on the "higher" end.

We were there in February and maybe it was not the same owner.

New owner since then, when we were there in Nov/Dec they told us they had been operating it for about 6 months - so maybe June, after your last visit.

We loved Big Fish when it was across the street, but after it moved had several bad experiences like you. We were glad to see the improvement. One the other hand, Canoe has slipped - at least on our 2 trips there Nov/Dec. Food was still good, but service spotty and slow. Hopefully it was just because of the time of the year, will see in 7 weeks.
