Been a few years since we left from tortola....is the schedule any more reliable than the old days?....have a 4 ish return flight front stt and this would mesh nicely....

I can't say I think the ferry reliability has improved over the last few years. Given that, it looks like you've given yourself plenty of time. It might be a good idea to see what your alternate would be just in case that ferry doesn't run.
Life involves risks, take some prudent ones (NOT with the BVI ferries)!

Smith's is the least reliable of the 3. I would take the 10:00 Road Town Fast Ferry, and then you have time for lunch before heading to the airport.
