Is this program still around? Anyone use it lately? I got one years ago after a whole lot of hassle. This will be my 6th visit so I think I'm STILL short of any benefits. I think it's ridiculous that European visitors get benefits quicker than anyone else! They never gave me a login name/password either so I emailed for one. See what happens. I think they really dropped the ball on this program and since it's so limited in scope, they should lower the requirements for benefits and, well, actually have benefits.

My typical travel to BVI involves a five hour drive, an overnight hotel stay near the main airport in UK that has flights to Caribbean, a nine hour flight to Antigua, an overnight stay in Antigua (because of flight schedules) and then an onward flight to BVI taking in the region of two and a half hours, a direct flight, if it existed is 45 minutes. This costs currently in the region of $1300+. Time difference varies from 4-5 hours depending on time of year. Does this answer your question as to why European visitors don't require so many visits? It is worth it when we arrive, but certainly a journey that takes quite a commitment.

My quote of $1300 is flights only, not including 2 hotel stays. Others may say they can do this cheaper, but we have been coming for 15 years and find this is our reality. Some may find a few dollars saving by alternate routes not relevant to where we live in UK.

Okay good argument! But...you guys do get a lot more vacation time than we do! Have you been able to take advantage of the card?

Only bonuses have been expedition through the airport, though this no longer as good as it was since the BVI VIP room was used for other purposes, and a discount used at Green BVI in CGB. We are retired so vacation time effectively unlimited nowadays. However had 40 years when two weeks were the rule and two days travel either side was limiting!

😡 oh no, so sorry if that enterprise didn't work out, have several items of their recycled glass and given loads as gifts. Something that was genuinely BVI.

Well, I'm convinced now the VIP program is the biggest waste of time ever! When I signed up years ago, it took months to get the card. I had to scan and fax my passport stamps multiple times. I finally got the card showing an incorrect Visiting Since date. I tried to go on the site and it requires a login. I never got login info. Requested it from Kevin Hughes and he says he'd have to "build" it for me and to try registering. I already have a card! No records exist AND he says he's missing one of my visits in their records. I give up! Worthless program. It's offensive to me that priority treatment is given to other visitors. They should just lower the requirements for everyone. In the years since this card became available, NOTHING has been done with the program. No businesses on line for discounts. They could put together a coupon book or just send a discounted or free Drinking Man's Guide! They could improve the ferry service, bring in new airlines, make the Belongers line available to card holders, make it easier to get a fishing license online. ANYTHING! There's a reason why I mention BVI's to people and they've either never heard of the place or tell me they've been to the USVI many times but never the BVI. Of course that's a good thing for us but not for their tourism industry.

It used to be pretty good, especially with the arrival at the airport and the VIP lounge. We used it twice after that and it really didn't make that much of a difference - one of the two times, we weren't even met - I think our flight was late or something.. But arriving on Cape Air, it really doesn't speed anything up.

I just looked at the website which used to list discounts..etc but there's nothing listed now, so it seems like they aren't keeping up with things and focusing much on it (if at all) anymore.

"ANYTHING!"

They sent you a card. Frame it. Be happy.
