Sunday, Sunday....

What a lazy, lazy day this has been.....

Woke up this morning with no particular agenda beyond it being the last full day for the Granddaughter(s) and daughter so no rushing off, sort of everyone doing as they want....mimosas and coffee in the room along with omelet scandal toast, etc.,...........

This looks like a 'Mullet kinda day' maybe? Sandwiches from 'Kimmys Kitchin' along with a few brewskis from the larder and we were good to go. Five free chairs at Mullet along with three of Rosie's big umbrellas to the tune of $30.00 along with a generous tip for Edmund, the Towers chairman. Let the day begin...... Poppy and I drove over with the towels and such and by 10:30 the lot was pretty much full already and the people were parked everywhere. The girls arrived a little later.......oh to be so young. Later in the day they walked to the point at the end of the old Honeymoon Walk Lookout and dove in to swim all the way around and back into the beach where our chairs were. And then they walked to SSB&G and back after seeing a few planes come in overhead.

So this morning the ocean at Mullet was like glass. By the time I got around to going in the waves were becoming sporadic and of course, I got tossed by one but that's what it's all about, right?! By the time we left it was getting wild down there and you can clearly see the weather is changing. But to what? The air is still with not a breeze to be found where we are though there was a pleasant breeze blowing on the beach.

And a first for us - there was actually seaweed on the beach which is something I personally have never witnessed before - not even last year when the Sargasso was at its worse. And of course, when MBR&C was up and running so many years back, the grounds people wouldn't allow even a sea grape leaf to lay there so you know seaweed would be totally verboten.

Five o'clock drinks and snacks. Soon to shower for those not done yet and then off to dinner. And the Last Supper will be.....Chesterfields! We had planned/hoped? Once more for Antoine's but in calling yesterday they said they were closed tonight.

So back from dinner - good - typical Chesterfields - and now my ladies are thinking about tomorrow and heading home. I think and hope Sarah has had the vacation of her life but if not, I'm sure she'll be back down the road, and my other certainty - the way the two young 'uns ran her ragged for three days, Kim will sleep all the way home on the plane. Thanks for being such a good sport and doing the things you did with them, like Sky Beach and St. Bart's - definitely NOT the Nana and Poppy scene but they sure loved it. Until the next time....... Safe travels, all.
