I think hubby and I were on the same flight as Richard today <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> Our day started at 4 a.m., and ended at 5.15 p.m. local time when we dumped our bags down at our destination. We were impressed with our arrival at the airport; off the plane, through immigration, grabbed our bags and were gone all within about 10 minutes  Picked up our rental car and headed to Maho. We did a quick grocery shop and then shuffled over to Sunset Beach Bar and Grill for our first beer by the ocean, and also a bite to eat. SSBG is a work in progress, you can consider it Orient Beach #2. According to our server the work was supposed to have been completed December. Sound familiar? Since it was dark we really didn't look around and get a good look, but we will be going back. The surf tonight at Maho was wild, and I mean wild; the waves were just pounding in. Sand and water covered the road and traffic was a mess; cars driving both sides to get across and cars getting stuck in the sand. When we were heading back we passed one poor fella stuck in the sand, and waiting for a tow truck to rescue him. I expect the beach to be non-existent tomorrow, and they will need to clear the sand off of the road to make it passable. We stopped by FIG and got a copy of their menu; planning on going there one night. I thought it was just above the Maho Market, but it's actually in the La Terrasse building with a view of the main drag and Casino Royale. Anyway, it's time for me to visit the land of nod and recharge the old battery for tomorrow. I'm worn out.
