Family of four on a Moorings 40' Powercat for 7 nights from Saturday 12/30-Saturday 1/6. First time for the kids and the parents haven't been in ~20 years since we were on a Grand Banks from Trawlers in Paradise. We want to avoid JVD around New Years. Thoughts/comments/suggestions on the following itinerary? Is it unrealistic to expect a mooring ball in any of these locations on any of these dates? We are early morning people and in a powercat so could be anywhere pretty early. Thanks in advance. Friday 12/29 - Arrive; hotel in Tortola Saturday 12/30 - Marina Cay Sunday 12/31 - Gorda Sound Monday 1/1 - Gorda Sound [may try to find a slip for a night] Tuesday 1/2 - Anegada Wednesday 1/3 - JVD Thursday 1/4-Cooper or Norman Friday 1/5 - Cooper or Norman Saturday 1/6 - Depart

I am on the Moorings powercat side as well and we start earlier
I would recommend 1 more day at Anegada and one less at Cooper or Norman. For me I avoid Cooper. kids would enjoy snorkeling at Indians and Caves on way into Bight, Norman Island for your last night
with a power cat we usually get wherever early enough (830-900) to get a Mooring Ball although you are going at peak. I tend to hit Anegada on weekend when it is lighter but you all are probably goign to work around NYE

I would do only 1 night on North sound, and 2 nights on Anegada.

VG will be having a NYE party. My feeling is that it will be a family fun event. May be a good option for you since you will be near VG anyway. Some live music and local food vendors so should have a community feeling. We are going to be there. You can check it out here- https://www.vgyh.events/
