AA was offering 40,000 miles on a Citi Bank card (on the flight). Did this for hubby. He gets the miles after $1000 in purchases. We haven't changed cards for awhile which is probably why it worked for us. They just sent NEW cards and it has only been a couple months. Same number/code on the back. Not sure why. We ran into some young couple in SXM who cancel their cards every year to get new cards with new miles. = free flights for them each year. Not sure if it is the same airline or not.
