they kind of do. We left STT last year and they had the TSA line shut down. Went through the regular line and almost got to the front of the line. Then we were informed that the TSA line had opened. They made us start over in the TSA line and added an hour to our check in. Having a ticket with TSA PreCheck on it normally does not mean you have to do it.
