I spoke with Jay two hours ago. Cellular communications are improving on St Thomas. As mentioned they are safe and their condo sustained damage. Condos that sat higher on the hillside above his and saw perhaps 30 mph higher gusts were wiped out. He made the wise decision to ride out the storm in a more sturdily constructed home of friend.

The CYOA base suffered virtually no damage. Yesterday, Jay and John inspected their fleet of catamarans that were hauled at Nanny Cay and Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour. Lots of damage to boats at VGYH. Miraculously, 3 of their catamarans at Nanny Cay have no apparent damage including my Saba 50, Cuvée!

Jay mentioned that many hauled out catamarans that look to be undamaged when viewed from aerial footage actually suffered serious damage to the sacrificial keels when they were pushed laterally by the storm.
