With news still arriving after Maria passed, I share this only for the optimism and responsiveness of the charter company. Thoughts and prayers remain with those who were impacted directly. Yesterday I received the below note regarding our Spring charter.... The referenced yacht is a Lagoon 52. Dream Yacht is in Hodges Creek Marina next to Paraquita Bay where pictures of the yacht "pile up" have been widely circulated: Hi Joe, As I'm sure you may have heard. The British Virgin Island have been badly damaged by Hurricane Irma and as a result, many of our yachts have been damaged beyond repair. The Caribbean thrives on tourism and luckily we were able to move your booking to a similar yacht in our fleet that we are relocating to BVI from another base. The new yachts specs are here: URL for booking specifics removed. Any updates regarding Hurricane Irma bookings will be on our website: https://www.dreamyachtcharter.com/hurricane-irma-customer-update/Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
