Jan 2: Rodney Bay
Trendy came by around 7:30 and we walked over to Gros Islet for breakfast and coca tea; I had a saltfish sandwich and he had the ham, egg and cheese. The woman serves them right out of the window of her house which is a couple blocks back in the neighborhood.

Afterwards I took a walk to the public dock to see the condition of it; it’s missing a few boards from the walkway but is sturdy, a stern anchor for the dingy would be advised. We walked back to the marina and went down to the boat to pack so Dan could drop me off at the dingy dock near the supermarket. I’m leaving all my shorts and tee shirts on the boat won’t have a lot of use for them back home. When I was set to go Dan dropped me off and I walked down to the Bay Garden Hotel, where I will be staying until Saturday. I left my bags in storage and headed down to the beach for a swim and some sun. When check-in time came I dropped off my stuff in my room and went to pickup some supplies, beer and rum mainly. Trendy came by and we had a few on the patio then went over to the Triangle Pub for lunch, chicken curry and stewed pig tails. Back to the room for a few more drinks, ad then he left and I laid down for a short nap. Around midnight Trendy called, he was at Rehab so I got dressed and went down. There were a few people there I knew so we hung around for a while then went down the street to Delirious. The crowd was lively there and some people were dancing, we had a few drinks and then they started to play the reggae version of “You don’t Have to Go Home But You Can’t Stay Here”. At One point the bartender was attempting to serve a flaming drink and lit the bar on fire, no one got hurt and it made for a little excitement. We went back to Rehab and had another couple rounds before they closed up the shutters.
