I left the BVI two weeks ago and it was bothersome on Tortola. At Nanny Cay they had a backhoe remove it from the beach each day and were using the marina's dinghies tied to the docks with running engines to create waterflow to get the sargassum moved out (with pretty good success, too). While it hasn't reached the proportions of a couple of years ago, there were many large mats visible when I took off from St. Thomas so it might become a bad year.
