We just got back 11/8/03, after spending a week at Braco.
PLUSES
1- Great Au Natural Pool
2- Nice quiet beach
3- Great drinks
4- Nice room on A/N side
5- Excellent staff- Always smiling and helpful
6- Great Hot tub. Room for 50
Negatives
1- Food- Just mediocre. No lobster til Friday night street party
2- Very poor room service. Food was always cold/
3- Electricity problems. Several times electricity went out. 11/1/03, from 4:00PM to 6:00AM.
4- Mosquito spraying every night at 5:30PM. No warning. Had to run to the room.
5- Towel service at pool very poor.
6- Some people very inconsiderate at the pool. Guess thats what you get with free drinks.
7- Activities weak.
8- Ride to and from Airport about an hour. Very bumpy.
9- Shopping at resort extremely expensive. Save your money and buy elsewhere.
Overall
Had a nice time, great weather, met some very nice people.Thought for the money the food would be much better.
May or may not return.
The french restuarant was very good. About on par with the St Martin restaurants.
The Jerk Pit chicken was way too spicy for us.
Japanesse Restaurant was no where equal to Beni Hanas. Food was okay.
Italian restaurant had good pizza. That is all we had there.
The Wednesday Beach Party was a buffet of spicy over cooked food. No one was happy there.
Friday night Street party had good lobster.
Breakfast buffets were good, but became mundane and boring.
I think we will stick to St Martin, as it is much cheaper, and the food is much better.
