My SXM taxi driver friend of 29 years, who has been through many hurricanes and rebuilds, says in his opinion, this will be a much tougher recovery since it impacts more than just the island and a rebuild. This is pretty much worldwide, has impacted cruises, airlines, people's health, finances, retirement accounts, jobs, etc. I want to hope he is wrong for the sake of the island, but he makes a very valid point.
Hey, and it was just 5 weeks ago Monday we ran into each other at Rosie's. How things have changes is almost unbelievable.
