What a couple of slugs we’ve become! We really haven’t done anything, gone anywhere or eaten out anywhere special though all this is definitely subject to change.

But things we’ve experienced so far....

Seaweed? Not much on the Simpson Bay beach areas that we’ve seen and what little there is here gets raked up by the staff and by eight o’clock there’s none to be found on our stretch of beach.

Drove by Mullet Bay golf course - it’s mowed as well as they mow it these days but it’s a beautiful lush green with lots of golfers out enjoying themselves. Or at least they were out on Sunday.

Traffic? What traffic? We haven’t gone very far yet but there was no hold-up by the runway as there usually is. And between White Sands Road and Porto Cupecoy it’s been effortless with very little travel when we’ve been out.

The soft breezes have been blowing ever since we deplaned and today’s skies are brilliant shades of various blues with just an occasional ‘cotton ball’ type cloud dancing across them.

My much loved DH ran to the store for a fresh baguette for lunch and was gone longer than I might have expected. Much to both our enjoyment, after the grocery store he swung by Mullet Beach and got some Rosie’s ribs to go. OMGoodness! They were yummy!
While there he saw Nina whom we’ve gotten to know over the years. We missed her last November and she said she had gone home to Columbia because her husband was sick and eventually passed. And here’s a real shocker to us - Wayne - who used to work at the beach and/or pool for the Towers and subsequently for Rosie - according to Nina he passed this last year also. She had no other details but that came as a total shock to us.

Respectfully,

pat
