Your login name brings back memories of a Florida vacation that my wife were on about four years ago near Sarasota. We spent the day on the beach at Siesta Key, and while walking along the sea shore sure enough there was a true contingent on Amish folk on the beach. The men actually had their shirts off while soaking in some rays (hope they used some sunscreen), while the women and children were in full amish attire -- both in the water and out. Those solid color dresses the women were wearing had to weigh a ton when saturated with sea water, but they were having a great time nonetheless. I did ask one of the men where I could get some good amish cooking in the area and they directed us to Yoder's Amish restaurant in Sarasota and it was terrific. It was no 'Shady Maple', but the fried chicken and shoo fly pie were outstanding. You'll enjoy participating in this board.
