I'm still working on a full trip report. In the meantime I thought I'd post Paul's review of our accommodations in Palm Beach Shores, Fl. I don't necessarily agree with everything he says. Those of you who have read previous reports know that I hate flea markets for one thing.

Paul’s Review of Palm Beach Shores Resort

A review our week timeshare exchange to Palm Beach Shores seems to be a succession of “yes, but’s.

The one bedroom was spacious well planned and nicely decorated, but we ran into a shortage of drawer space when we tried to unpack our clothes.

The bathroom was luxurious by timeshare standards, but to facilitate the desired reuse of towels heated towel racks would be needed.

The kitchen area was adequate, but directions for the stove top would have been helpful. [There were directions for the microwave/convection oven].

The TV in the living area was large and sharp, but the weather channel was useless, and we were not able to figure out the DVD input.

Outside the unit itself, the live music was undoubtedly nice for the poolsiders, but not for midday napping.

The valet parking was obviously necessary, but was an expensive pain in the a… The grill room and served good food at a fair price, but the menu was rather limited for multiple visits. The inclusion of gratuities in the bill (while common in Europe) is unusual here.

We found the major attractions in the area very interesting (a tour of Palm Beach and Worth Avenue, a boat tour on Lake Worth of the homes of the famous and infamous and the Flagler Museum). But we missed some of the bigger Florida attractions such as miniature golf and flea markets.

The concierge was able to furnish us with excellent directions for driving to all locations, but no good map of the area and its attractions was available. The one map available seemed to concentrate on golf courses.
