Thanks so much for a GREAT trip report! Too bad about the problems with the excursions to Paya Bay. Unfortunately the special excursions through BN often have issues. I guess it should not be totally unexpected, since they are all 'one shot' deals and it's difficult to do anything perfectly the first and only time around.

The story regarding the attack on the passenger is a shocking one. I hope that the victim recovers.
