Wow, adventurous hike! I wish I was on the Island and could go with you! Can't wait to hear all about it! It was a beautiful morning. A friend suggested that we go at night, but there was no way in H.E.Doubletoothpicks I was going to do that! lol The mosquito situation alone, never mind the fright factor! What a grand place this must have been. We found tiles, the reception and check-in area, the ballroom. A beautiful staircase where the room had sadly been burned. The office behind the reception area had training manuals, facsimile cover sheets, and completed faxes, as well as staff meeting notes from 1994.
