Let's hope the Canadian Government follows suit and backs off on post-arrival testing or quarantining for returning Canadians, especially since we all have to be fully-vaccinated to have gotten on the plane down in the first place and need a 72-hour full PCR test to return! Keeping my fingers crossed.

I wouldn't even mind something like a 3rd day follow-up test once we are home, since that would be much simpler logistically. In the odd case of a breakthrough infection it would at least limit the potential spread and allow contact tracing. I have no idea how they will manage the proposed arrival testing, even if it's rapid testing, in an airport as large as Toronto Pearson. It would turn it into a crowded zoo, which is the antithesis of smart Covid protocols.
