Very nice report and hey! You worked hard for all those years up to retirement so make the most of it.
It’s sad you lost a day of your trip but it could have been worse. We had friends who lost almost half of their vacation a few years ago due to midwinter weather. They couldn’t see the logic in paying for trip insurance but they do ever since that happened.
