Today was an iffy kind of day and not too much to celebrate beyond the fact of being here. Weather was okay but not as gorgeous here as most Caribbean days are. No sooner got our swimsuits on and headed out to the pool when the sprinkles started. But the good news - they didn’t last long enough to cause us to head to the sheltered end of the pool before the sun came back in all it’s glory. Even Saba started to return and make a showing by this afternoon.

We ate our breakfast - such as our breakfasts usually amount to - and lunch here at BSV but we did try a new to us dinner place - The Lobster House at Port de Plaisance. It was highly recommended by another TTOL member so we gave it a try. We shared a three pound lobster made and served as Thermidor. It was okay but I think we might have been better off had we just ordered it garlic basted and grilled. We are such snobs when it comes to Thermidor and nobody makes it quite as nicely as the people at Antoine’s did, or at least, not in our opinion anyway. The rowdy tennis players at the bar celebrating their matches detracted from the scene, too, but they were happy and hey! It’s Sint Maarten and being happy is a good thing, right?!

Respectfully,

pat
