Thursday, April 28th – 32nd wedding

Today started out as a repeat of the 26th with breakfast and headed over to Orange Fever for the day. Beach service again was great and we split the pizza for lunch. Headed back to our place about 3.

The day before, we received a call that Bev’s mom that has been in hospice for 9 months with Alzheimers had made a turn. We received a call at 4PM that she had peacefully passed on our anniversary. She had requested no funeral so no need to go home early. Our oldest daughter is getting a PHD in Gerentology and Alzheimers mental impact on caregivers. We spent a few hours on the phone and headed to Lauberge Gourmand (LG) for dinner,

The table had some flowers on it as I had emailed requesting them for our anniversary. Lemon Drops and a sprite was our liquid refreshments. Appetizers were a Caesar salad and frog legs. Both oh so yummy.

For dinner, Bev had the rack of lamb that was cooked perfectly. I decided to try the duck and I figured out I don’t like duck. No big deal and we decided to head home to facetime the kids.

Friday – April 29th – Cloudy

Woke up to cloudy skies so for a change decided to go to Good Morning 😊. After breakfast, we decided to go to parrottville. The birds are so colorful and it was a funny activity on a rainy day.

For lunch we chose Lil Jerusalem as we have never gone in 30 years. The owner is so nice and such a character. He could tell we hadn’t been there and told us to try the special. ‘If you don’t like it there is no charge’ he told us. I was ready to pay when we ordered he said ‘Go Relax and Enjoy; First they were huge. Second they were out of bounds so good. We didn’t try to pick it up as I could see me spilling it everywhere. It was so well cooked with the gouda cheese and his sauce. $30 included a nice tip.

Decided to go to Princess casino after lunch but the tables are closed until 5PM. Went back to get some work done and made it promptly at 6:30 to LaTratorria in Orient Village. We have know Val (One of the owners) since his days on Bikini beach with Elisa. He’s watched our kids grow up for the last 15 years.

We had a Caesar salad (best one yet) and 4 cheese gnocchi for apps. The waitress warned me that it was really big especially with the lasagna on the specials. The Gnocchi came out bubbling hot. It was so good that I burned my tongue on purpose. We ate about 2/3 of the dish to save room for dinner.

The beef lasagna and veal marsala were fabulous as we expected. I ate 2/3 of the lasagna because if I at more I would of busted open. Bev messaged Eli the crepe guy in Grand Case and he said he’d stay open if we hurried over. We paid quickly at La Tratorria and got in the car to grab our crepes.
