Yesterday was essentially a travel day. Car arrived at 3:10 am for our 5:30 am DFW departure and 1:30 pm SXM arrival, finally arriving at Grand Case Beach Club around 3ish. Just like our trip in May, it took forever for the bags to arrive at the carrousel, and of course, those orange bag stickers must mean "unload me last".

Stopped by the loacl market for essentials--beer (12 oz Presidente is back), fizz water and cat food, to get us through the next 24 hours. Discovered the Manager's meet and greet has been moved to Tuesdays from 6-7, so elected to feast free on the snacks and defer our usual first night meal at Villa Royale to another evening.

Located, greeted and fed the three resident cats, and after a few drinks at the party, called it a night around 9, getting a decent night's sleep for the first time in ages. Life is good in Paradise.

The first picture is one of the Bahamian islands between Miami and Andros. The white on the right side isn't clouds but the shallow sand bottom. Impressed me.
