This was our second trip to St. Martin, with the first one about 22 years ago. During the interim, there was alot of the rest of the world to see. Each vacation was thoroughly enjoyed. This time we stayed at LaSammana. The resort and the service could not have been nicer. It seemed like the restaurant had a reputation for poor service on several travel web pages. Our two dinners there were superior and the service was excellent. The view from the restaurant<br>was as scenic as it comes. Breakfasts, which came with out package, were from a buffet and were delicious. In fact, we never needed lunch during our five day stay because the breakfast buffet was so filling. Hopefully this review will negate some of the bashing I read regarding La Sammana. The beach was in beautiful shape as well.<br><br>I would like to thank the many contributors to this travel page. Per their advice, we did visit Gand Case for dinners on two nights. Le Cottage was terrific and the owners took a personal interest in making sure your meal and dining experience were one to remember. A second evening at L'Auberge Gourmande was equally as tasty and also comes highly recommended. <br><br>There is so much to the island that we never did get to see and hope a return trip can follow during the next few years.
