Landed 2:37 Thursday behind another plane. Did not see a separate line for carryon only- we were fed into the stalls. Wait was not bad- maybe 10 minutes outside and then into the immigration line. Leisure picked us up- very easy.. settled into the villa and off to Roma for dinner to feed the kids. Chicken parm did not disappoint.

Day 2 :Friday-went to Marigot and grabbed coffee and pastries at Chez Fernanand… brought back and enjoyed… had great massages as an early christmas gift , and then walked Plum Baie beach. Off to Carrefour and Prime for groceries and grabbed lunch at St Martin Yacht Club. The buffalo chicken was good, according to my son. I had the burger which was good- view is amazing. Headed back for a swim; Had Chef Roman come over and had an amazing dinner (see separate post with photos).

Day 3: Went to David’s Hole and walked over to Pointe du Bluff . There are a series of shallow pools , great shells and sea glass in addition to the abandoned hotel La Belle Creole overlooking the bay of Marigot. It is sad to see the damage and power of Mother Nature. Walked Baie Rouge which was quite rough this morning. Went to Maho- tried to get a drink at Sunset but the staff was very busy. Based upon everyone’s reviews here- we headed over to Dinghy’s Beach bar. Drinks and Chicken Schwarma did not disappoint. Husband had shrimp creole and enjoyed; sons had kebab and Philadelphia steak. Pizza oven was not working today. The planes did not disappoint- we watched many take off and arrive on this busy Saturday. Headed back for a quick shower and off to Mix at Ocean rooftop space. Nice ambiance and view was amazing.

Only surprise is the roads- I have read about them but did not understand from reading the posts and lurking here how bad they are on the Dutch side. I love windy roads, but the speed bumps are insane. The stopping and starting each time going over the speed bumps in addition to folks tailgating really made me nauseous. Insane drivers here that have no fear of passing on a corner.
