Hi Gang; Finally got everything in place to do my first ever trip report/with pics. (My first experience with a DSLR camera, too, and still learning.) Since I'm so late in getting these out, I'll keep it quick and simple.
This has to be the best BVI trip yet Met more new and old good friends then ever before
1. Started with a week at the SandCastle, JVD over Memorial Day weekend. Oh the crowds were fun to watch and made mid week seem so much more peaceful. Met a wonderful couple (Vicky & Bobby) early on and had a fun daysail, at their invitation and shared some of Oliver's fine cooking together. Next we met up with Paul & Carolyn (another wonderful couple) who had us on board for dinner for our last night on Jost. Carol and Debra had come in earlier that day and were staying on board. We all had a great time and an excellent meal. CATITUDE is one beautiful cat. Sleek, roomy, comfortable, every feature anyone could ask for, looks brand new, and is FAST (Just couldn't find where they put the sails & mast?). The next day Paul took all of us to Sandy Spit and Sandy Cay; had lunch (Loved that potato salad, Carolyn) and brought us to CGB to check in and get ready for the TTOL bash (Thank you again, Paul & Carolyn we had a fantastic time and really appreciate it.)
2. TTOL parties: Let me just say thank you to all the TTOL'ers that worked to arrange ALL these gatherings. I know of some of you but not all so I won't name names
It was a Blast! Thanks also to: USCHI, VAL, LOU, QUITO & APRIL for their fine hospitality. And of course, I've saved the best for last...
Thank you Malcolm for opening your lovely home for the Saturday picnic In place of details, I invite you to enjoy my pictures.
3. CGB We be limin'.. now. Zip over to Brewer's and Long Bay BI so Connie can snorkel...breakfast in Soper's...lunch on the road...(I'm really getting into the groove with this driving and loving it)...Palm's Delight, Myett's & the Shell Museum then Quito playing solo 2 nights
Truly a fantastic BVI vacation; the memories of which we fondly recall.
Update: Any thoughts on a 2006 party?
Plus if anyone will be around, Connie and I will be at the Mongoose Apts, CGB .... 22OCT - 5Nov ... We would love to see you.
Pictures (Enjoy them)
