Just got back from Vegas and the few things that I did were well worth it. The Paris Hotel has a wonderful restaurant called Ortanique; Caribbean style French. Also, at the Napolean Bar during happy hour 4-7, you can get carved prime rib and turkey sandwhiches with your drink order.
Also at the Paris was a cafe style with outside seating, Mon Ami (something like that) that was good for lunch. You can also go up the tower at night and see the water show at the Bellagio.
The Picasso at the Bellagio was wonderful too and when you make your reservations ask to sit outside, then you can watch the water shows that go off every 15 min. We did not see the same "show" twice as they change.
The monorail was well worth it. We got a 10 pass for $20 but if you think you will get on and off a lot in one day you can get a 3 day pass with unlimited trips, then purchase a 10 day or another pass or you can use them both depending on how often you plan to go in one day. Also, the 10 pass, you can share with others in your group. We took a cab a few times because we did not feel like walking to the monorail and it ended up being around 10 to go just one mile with tip.
The show KA at the MGM was really good and the Blue Man Group at the Luxor was fun.
Going downtown to me was a waste unless you have a lot of time. The overhead show on Fremont ST was nice but I thought the downtown area has not improved...........
I wished I had gone to the strip and saw some of the hotels/casinos, etc that I did not get to see.
If you belong to Interval International you can buy some passes for entertainment and trips in advance and the prices aren't bad.
Shuttle from the airport to the hotel, when you leave baggage claim, go towards the end, to your right. The shuttle is cheaper then the one right out front the exit.
Never made it to the Star Trek ride/exhibit at the Hilton but did eat at the restaurant there, at Star Trek, and it is good for lunch.
And..............I did not come back a millionaire <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />
