Hello:
Just returned from a week on Anegada and 10 days on Tortola. Read Zebars report and mostly agreed. This was our 4th trip to Anegada and we saw most of the same things tey did. We saw the donkey with the tin can, we saw poor service and high prices at Cow Wreck. Stayed at Neptunes and missed the atmosphere we have always had with Randy & Linda. Hardly saw them and not the nice welcome we had in the past. Talked to Tony from tonys taxi and it was sad to hear about his illness. Walked to Loblolly from Neptunes along the beach, about a 7 hour walk stopping about 1 & 1/2 hours for breaks. Walked from Neptunes to Cow Wreck and back almost every day. Some taxi drivers we used were great and some were terrible. We went for the snorkling, but it was stirred up. Did see a couple sharks, a nurse shark, turtles, rays, and many smaller fish. Also I think I met Mrs. Zebar at Cow Wreck (Annie?) and talked with her about Anguilla. Saw the donkey with the can. We have also stayed on Anguilla. Neptunes has the best prices for lunch and rooms. We paid $606 for 7 days and declined the housekeeping service. Went to the local church on Sunday. They still cleaned our room a couple days. Tortola has its problems also, the taxis are very costly and they really need a bottle deposit law and a recycle program for cans etc. All in all we enjoyed our trip, enjoyed going to the local churches and being together.
