My husband and I spent the week of July 8th at Peter Island Resort- a FABULOUS place to spend a week. Since we not much more than beach bums, no need for a day by day report; Instead I will give a brief overview of our experience on this island.
We arrived by the Peter Island ferry at 12:30 pm, well before the 3pm check in time, but our room was ready so they took us right to the room. We jumped into our suits, headed over to Deadman's Beach Bar and Grill for lunch to the sounds of a steel drum band... straight to the beach after this. For the first 4 days we did a mix of lounging around, and taking advantage of the water sports. I give credit to the two guys that are in charge of the recreation area for teaching me to windsurf (several different times) and I am sorry that I don't remember their names frown We spent time on White Bay beach where the snorkeling was great- especially to the far right around the rocks if you are facing the water. One thing though at this time of the year- it was very hot on White Bay beach ( I think the tradewinds are blocked) so we spent a lot of time under the hut. Had to get there early too (9am) if we wanted a hut as there are only 5 on the beach... We opted for dinner at the Tradewinds everynight- the food in our opinion was excellent. Only complaint was the steaks tended to be cooked a little much for the way we ordered them. We took the day trip to Virgin Gorda to see the Baths (as first-timers it was almost mandatory[Linked Image]
We stayed in one of the end garden view rooms which in fact had a nice view of the ocean... The staff was wonderful, the resort beautiful, the islands breathtaking. We WILL be back to PIR!!!
If anyone has anymore specific info. they want to know you can send me a message and I will be happy to tell you what I can.[Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image]
