Today is our last day in the Manuel Antonio beach area. Called Martica at Sanas ( Sanas is the airline co.)booked the plane for returning to San Jose ( $75 PP + $8 tax) and an hour before the flight you can have a taxi bring your tickets and take you to the airport for $5 PP . Taxi showed up on time took us to the “airport” the terminal was about 50’ X 50’ had Sanus air booth, Nature Air booth, Real Estate sales booth and a snack booth. All this is open air. A 4 seater Cessna was setting on the ground which was just getting to leave. I Me and a few cars that stopped on the road watched it take off and 20 minutes later watched our 12 seat Cessna come in. On each side of the runway was tropical forest so it looked like a strip of asphalt to nowhere. The scenery was just gorgous as we flew over rows and rows and rows of coconut trees. Out my window I could see Quepos and all the beach coast line. Ride took about 20 minutes ( vs 3 ˝ hour bus ride). Landed in San Jose and was in a cab back to the El Presidente ($22 net cab price). Back to the room for a shower and clothes that haven’t been wore multiple times, Went to dinner at the del Mar. This is an International Cuisine restaurant. The building had large rooms with 15’ ceilings , 8’ tall doorways and plank floorboards the alternated light and dark colors, It looked like it could have been an old Spanish Mansion with the cornice mouldgings , chandeliers, and decorative painted scallops on the walls and ceilings. I had the sea bann and Chica had the pasta w/white sauce and chicken, Bill was $35. The restaurant was close to the hotel so we decided to walk. We had to walk past the Del Rey hotel. I never have seen so many 60 ish old men in t shirts and caps drooling at all the women. Looked like little boys in a candy shop ( and some of the comments I heard were hilarious.)
At the hotel at 8:30 and called it a night.
