Did B'fast at the hotel ( full buffet that is included) and off to shopping. Since this is the Centro area there is shopping as far as you can walk in any direction. Prices are reasonable, $8 for a nice shirt. Money can be exchanged at the hotel at a rate close to the banks, or there is Casa de Cambio that the rate is the same as the banks ( shorter lines) , YOU SHOULD CARRY A PASSPORT AT ALL TIMES ( not a copy), you will not be able to exchange money without one, and some stores will take dollars IN THE CENTRO distric BUT you will have to have the dollar amount close to the purchase price AND change back will be Colones. Went to a couple of tourist agencys. Will do the museum and theater tour today and usr public busses ( about $3) , the main tourist attractions here in San Jose are close to the hotel. Tomorrow will probably do the beach trip (Manuel Antonio beach area) by bus also ( $7, 2 hour drive) and thinking about doing an overnighter in that area. You can also fly for about $50 or Taxi for about $120. The beaches in the north west part of Costa Rica are a 7 hour drive, Bus is about $12 or can fly for about $90 PP. Gina found a Colombian restaurant for our late lunch so I think there will be no dinner tonight. And then off to Castro Bar for some Salsa and Merenge (Taxi $2000 colones, after 9 PM $3000 colones for the trip.
Found Guileme beer ( Argentinian beer), oh well back to Imperial
Found a great pair of sandals shopping today, very useful. Will try to upload a video via the slow wifi.
