The P'berg shops are almost all and always CLOSED on Sunday's UNLESS there are cruise ships in town and then many will open to hopefully attract and accommodate the passengers.
Monday's are usually a decent day to go to town and the earlier the start, the better the available parking in the lot in the center of town. My other choice is Saturday as there are few if any cruise ships in port and the majority of island visitors come and go on Saturdays so the shopkeepers are a little less harried and more apt to 'do business' since the patrons are generally fewer.
We usually go to town around 8:00 and have breakfast there at any of a number of great locations, and by the time we're done eating, the shops are generally either open or well into the process. I think they mostly open between 9:30-10:00. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />
