Well if you like to look at a statistical view of your chances of a storm in the BVI in August here you go: Stormcarib ( http://www.stormcarib.com ) has a great repository of storm information, and has some great tools that allow you to pick your island and drill down. From a non-statistical viewpoint… We been in August and had great weather and nice winds, but that is not the norm. No, it is not Texas hot, but the humidity can be intense. Things will be slower, but there will be a whole lot less people to contend with. The water will be warm and blue and that is what it is all about for us. Probably a good month to invest in trip insurance, but if you have the time off scheduled - I would go in a heartbeat.
