It is starting to feel like spring around here, bbq tonight, baby back ribs, bbq chicken, potato salad, brussel sprouts and asparagus on the grill, fresh bread and friends, doesn't get much better.

We're just south of you on the Outer Banks, and I think you've got a good idea for tonight. Time to fire up that grill!!
Ok, so what to do with the chicken breast I have. It's got the bone in and skin on, so it's perfect for the coals. Any suggestions for a good marinade?

I don't usually marinate my chicken, just throw it on the grill, make sure the grill is not too hot and then when it is almost done put the bbq sauce on it, yumm. What part of the OBX are you in?

Used to be able to get it at Sam's, but not anymore...and Costco too, but I don't have access to one of them anymore...Yoshida's Gourmet cooking sauce is a great chicken marinade

I do the same thing with the chicken if I'm using BBQ sauce, but I was looking for a good marinade recipe also.

We are in Kill Devil HIlls, and love living here!

I like marinating chicken overnight in olive oil & Cider Vinegar...
Then throw it on the grill, slow and low...

I wish you lived closer to me! I'd bring you the huge bottle of that stuff that I bought at Costco. It's way to sweet for me.

we can still get it at the COSTCO by us... they all have slightly different inventories...
(I have to admit, we've never tried it!)

and I've seen it at a number of supermarkets in our area...

For a nice easy marinade try some olive oil, either lemon juice or rice vinegar, white wine or white vermouth, soy sauce, ginger (either dry or fresh...just a little) 1 T. brown sugar....mix well and pour into plastic bag. Then add the meat. Yumma! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

For an appetizer I cooked these on Saturday, the chutney was great. Recipe is a little labor intensive and I made more than the recipe called for since I had quite a few guests, but everyone loved them.

So, what is everyone cooking this weekend?
