Looks nasty for the anchorages with a northern exposure all week. Up to 10 foot swells expected Thursday. Surfers are rejoicing, boaters not so much!

I will be on VG from 1/15-/1/21 and was planning on The Baths on 1/16, Savannah Bay on 1/17, Anegada 1/18 (via Ferry). Do you think these destinations are still in play re: the weather forecast? WindGuru looks pretty brutal.

It's a bit early to make that call however the North Swell starts to go away on Saturday. Hopefully that will leave things fine next week. A 20 knot East wind is not a issue for where you want to go. It's the North Swell that will ruin the snorkeling and make beaches difficult to swim from.

With a full moon almost upon us..very high tides and a big swell we've got white water hitting the sea wall here in Apple Bay..winds out of the North/ North East are pushing it too...not good for surfing with so much white water..at least its cleaning up the beach debris!!

Enjoying standing at the kitchen sink and watching the swells and breaking waves off of Honeymoon beach on Scrub. We took a friend to the airport at 7am, and the waves heading from Marina Cay to Trellis were impressive. Trellis Bay Market dock was partially under water at high tide, as are some docks on Camanoe.

There's usually a few who ignore the flags at CGB and have to be rescued.

Looks like we got out of dodge at the right time. Our weather could not have been any better last week thru this past Monday. We had a great sail out to Anegada on Sat. hitting 11.8 knots.

Just got home last night. Wind & swells were fairly obnoxious all week- no snorkeling, little swimming, and rolly almost everywhere for the last several days. We only had one light day & of course it was the one that we were trying to go upwind. Had to go to Spanishtown for a dinghy repair & getting in & out of the channel was quite an adventure.

It was nice to not have to hang on every time I had to pee last night. Going back down on Monday so am very grateful that the swells are laying down for a little while, I'm tired from that vacation!

If I can't be a good example, I'll just have to be a horrible warning. [Linked Image]
