I have not stayed there but a friend did a few years ago. It was fine but I think he would consider someplace else in the future. I am pretty sure the elevator has been installed. Whether it works or not, I don't know but one would hope.
Simpson Bay Suites is almost next door and might be another option.
For just one night, I am sure either would be fine.

As JD said, I think Wendell stayed there a few years ago and wasn't that impressed. To me, if I had just one night to cover, I think I would seriously look at Mary's Boon. It's on the beach, and they have a couple of rooms that are pretty cheap, as they are basically almost below grade. I wouldn't want to stay in for longer than one night, but it would be good for the first night, when I personally just want to get a meal and a drink and off to bed. You could eat there at MB or next door at Karakter. The next morning you could hang out on the beach there, as I figure you won't be able to get into your room at the timeshare until the afternoon. There is also a pool there at MB, if you want.

Also thinking that the Atrium Resort is perhaps another possibly in terms of pricing and suitability for a one night stay.
Thoughts?

Atrium would be fine. On another thought, have you inquired about renting the additional night at your timeshare? Many times they have "owners rates" or rooms available to rent as a hotel room.

And while I can't speak for YOUR timeshare specifically, I would definitely check out their pricing like ruralcarrier suggested. A few times we've come in a day or so earlier than our actual Towers time and rented from them at owners rents (less costly than renting from Orbitz...) and once, since our unit was available we were able to go into it when we arrived, a day earlier, and did not have to move from unit to unit. That usually doesn't happen and we have to spend the night (s) in the studio we rent but it's so much easier than checking in and checking out and then having to move to another location and do it all over again. Unless, of course, you just want to check out the other properties.....

I stayed at Atrium last year and enjoyed it a lot. As far as pricing, it would just depend on what you could get.
There is something to be said for not having to move resorts, for sure, but if you always stay in Oyster Bay, a night in Simpson Bay would be different..

Since the sale to new owners I'm not sure exactly what is available or when you're looking, but we've always enjoyed staying at Turquoise Shell Inn after a couple weeks at OBBR. They've remodeled all the lower floor rooms. info@tshellinn.com
Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.
