I was fortunate enough to be proposed to in the BVI's (keep in mind this is a second marriage for both of us with grown children AND grandchildren) and even looking back at it now the where didn't matter just that it did happen THERE! We were actually in the parking lot at Leverick Bay at the time. I'll surely never forget it. The best part was to be able to share it and celebrate with our BVI FAMILY of Friends! And better still getting married in the BVI's was OVER THE TOP of anything I could have imagined would ever happen to me! Best of luck! No matter where, it will be spectacular!

Think about YCCS on VG. Awesome view from the pool area and the staff has always been responsive especially if you give them a heads up on an event. We had 2 of our daughters birthday parties there. It just looks expensive, used to be the cheapest beer in North South (when they opened it was the most expensive beer $17), but I haven't been since they remodeled.

The Baths at sunset. In the main grotto. Lighting is gorgeous and everyone is gone after 4.

Cow Wreck Beach
|
Five years ago, I was sitting under our palapa at Hidden Treasure (our home on Anegada) when a fellow that I had met at the Cow Wreck bar walked over and asked me if I had a magnifying glass that he could use. I told that indeed I did, and I asked him what he needed it for. He said that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend, and wanted to burn the proposal into a piece of wood. We made a plan. He burned his proposal into a piece of driftwood that he had found on the beach. Later that afternoon, I took the piece of wood and the engagement ring and hid them under a bush in one of the beautiful spots on the west end of Anegada. I marked the bush with a stick with a piece of orange tape on it so that he could find it, then came back and told him where to look for it. He took his girlfriend on a walk around around to the west end. He went up to the bush line and returned to his girl. She said "Yes!" I was in the bush nearby with my camera when he made the proposal. They showed the proposal photos at their wedding. They come back to Anegada every spring!

We are chartering a sailboat in May. Just the 2 of us and I am planning to pop the question then.
I think I will look for a secluded beach or anchorage.

I got married in the BVI 2005....it's been a love affair ever since
With the BVI or with B?! For the sight of a proposal I would vote for Cooper simply because that is where I have taken my best sunset pic from.

Hey JWH, I had plans to charter in the BVI for my honeymoon. Problem was finding someone to go with me. In 1990, at age 36, and still no prospects, a friend suggested I sign on with a big group heading down for a BVI charter. 16 woman and 12 guys on three Moorings 50 ft mono hulls. So I went on my long planned honeymoon trip with out a wife. First trip was Quite a party. Funny thing happened on that trip.... I met my future wife! Been married 21 years and we still love the BVI. Must be something in the water...beer...rum......? Good luck to you. btw Plenty of great proposal spots in the BVI, ours happened at home, but this view is hard to beat.
