I guess this might be of interest to travelers who go out in the sun.

I have a nice pair of Oakley sunglasses that eventually were not usable due to scratches on the lenses. I figured I'd just buy a new pair or send them in to Oakely and pay $100+ to have them fixed. Turns out you can just order new 3rd party lenses on line and pop them in yourself. Worked great glasses are like new and the new polarized lenses only cost $18 with free shipping. I went with Seek Optics but there are others that are probably just as good.

Not really related to your subject, but today I bought "sun glasses" for the eclipse in 11 days. We will get a 95% eclipse where I live. If I can get decent pictures, I will post them here.

An aside to the scratched lenses
You can buy wipes made for cleaning glasses, they are similar to hand wipes
We 1st bought them at Petit Casino in the village, since have bought at home
I always keep some with me, saves the lenses

Just a thought J&B
