For pick-up and drop-off at the airport with no need to go anywhere else, we use and can highly recommend Lesley Bruce of Kenny's Car Rentals. He is dependable and an absolute man of his word and he doesn't nickel and dime you. There is another company, Horizon Car Rentals, that I've heard very good things about who offers the same services, but I can't say from first hand experience as we've always used Lesley.
Over the years we've tried a few other companies who said they offered this service but when the time came, they picked us up in their van and took us to their office, which was what I absolutely DID NOT want to do.
Respectfully,
pat

We will be on the island in just about a month. Never stayed there longer than a cruise ship passenger. Initially I went with a major car company but after reading nothing but great stories about Lesley Bruce of Kenny's I cancelled my reservations with the major car company and contacted Mr. Bruce to set up my rental. Looking forward to doing business with him.

With no disrespect intended toward any of the others mentioned in this thread, I don't always need a Corolla and prefer a smaller car. I have now used Leisure Car Rental three times and will be using them for a fourth in November. They pick you up in your car at the airport and take you to their office, which is very, very close to the airport. A couple of minutes of paperwork, and you are on your way. When I made my third reservation, they gave me a 20% discount, which made them more than competitive with other quotes I received. That discount is also reflected in my quote for November. I once had a flat tire at Anse Marcel, and they came to fix it during rush hour. I'm very pleased with their service and pricing. Leisure

Good to know about Leisure. I kind of like the Corolla and the actual airport pick-up and drop-off with no other stops along the way but if I couldn't use my first choice for whatever the reason, I will certainly keep them in mind. Do you have to worry about nickel and dime stuff with them? Probably not from the good reviews but I don't want to have to do the car inspection and photo thing that people talk about. Do they have the slightly older and 'more lovingly used' cars? The other thing I don't want to deal with is the first scratch on a brand new car and I'm just more comfortable in the latter. Though I don't know why I worry about that since we've never had any island mishaps. Anyhow, thanks for the information re Leisure.

They don't really have any "lovingly used" cars, unfortunately. And they do inspect the cars. On my visit last fall, there were some scratches on the rear bumper that hadn't been noted on the rental form. If I put them there, I have NO IDEA how they got there. At any rate, Diana said that they would have to get a quote on getting them fixed. I followed up a couple of days later, and Diana said Jimmy (owner) said to not worry about it.

We have been renting from Lesley, aka Kenny's, since early 90's. Many, many times. After knowing Lesley for all of these years, it's nice to know exactly how our car rental experience will be! It makes us have complete "peace of mind" every time we go to our favorite destination.

We've always have had great luck with Automax, always nice cars and the quote you get from him is always the exact amount no hidden fees. The owner Louis is great, very accommodating drop and pickup wherever you want and always on time, very dependable!

Automax was great with us as well. Louis and his wife were on time and paid exactly what the quote was. We paid $350 for 7 days at Christmas time.
We've used Lesley as well. He is very good as well.

Lesley is great, and if I wanted a Corrolla would rent from him in a heartbeat. But we have been renting much smaller cars these days and have been renting from Empress/Fox. No complaints.
