Saba is so beautiful - I can't believe it took us twenty years before we made our first trip over. A ferry like that might have caused us to gonsooner. Such a beautiful island - we came back and spent a long weekend. But truth is, the second time we flew!

It did state the time "predicted to make the trip to Saba in about an hour" but it did not speculate on the cost.

They have not announced their scheduled departure times yet and they expect to start limited service in October 2017. They have not published a rate schedule yet. You can find future information at their website. Ferry service

A 130 ft vessel would be a welcome option. We took the Edge (From Simpson Bay Resort) round trip to Saba a number of years ago and it was a wild ride both directions. A large percentage of the passengers were ill. Not sure of the exact length of the Edge but probably less than 60ft.

Saba is an awesome place to visit...while additional options to get there are great, i think flying there gives you more time on the island and let's you experience flying into and out of their very unique airport

We've done the trip both by air and sea, and the Edge lived up to it's nickname The Vomit Comet for sure. Enjoyed the trip by air very much..as a previous poster stated, the landing alone is worth the price of admission. Our flight had a stop in Statia on the way, so we got to experience 2 short runway landings. Lucky enough to grab the front row on the flight, so on an Otter, we were able to look out the windshield right between the pilots. It literally looks like you're about to land on a carrier. The Otter didn't even need half the runway. Did the island by taxi, and got a great narrated tour. Spent the night at the Queen's Garden, in room hot tub with a mountain view. Highly recommend. If you're reasonably fit, the walk up the carved steps to the rain forest is amazing.
